ABOUT THE GAME
Sail out greedy, sail home careful
Float for Brainrots is a browser ocean collectathon from gameVgames: leave your shore base on a starter raft, scoop floating Brainrots from the water, and deliver them home so they start dripping passive cash every second. Greed pays—until the carry timer hits zero and sharks wipe the load.
Distance is the risk dial. Near-shore commons fund early boats; farther waters hide higher rarities and stronger idle payouts, but the swim back is longer and the timer forgives less. Islands act as mid-ocean safe pads that refresh your safety window so you can chain routes instead of panic-turning every thirty seconds.
Progression is boat plus base: spend earnings on speed and capacity, unlock better hulls (hosts commonly list nine craft), and eventually Rebirth for a money multiplier when incremental upgrades feel flat. Desktop builds also support local two-player on one keyboard.
HOW IT PLAYS
Collect, deposit, upgrade, repeat
- 1
Haul has a fuse
Once Brainrots are on the raft, a carrying timer counts down. Zero means shark bite and a lost cargo. Touching an island resets that window; depositing at base locks the income in.
- 2
Rarity sits next to the floaters
Each Brainrot shows a rarity tier and a passive $/sec value. Commons near base keep the economy alive; rarer labels farther out juice idle income but demand a boat that can finish the trip.
- 3
Shops turn cash into minutes
Speed shortens every route. Capacity raises how many creatures a single trip can bank. Later unlocks and Auto-Collect style helpers let the base keep ticking while you focus on sailing—check both the boat shop and upgrade station often.
WHAT YOU'RE BUILDING
From wooden raft to deep-water fleet
Expect a large creature roster (commonly cited around 85 Brainrots across several rarity bands) and a short ladder of boats that open farther map tiers—not just a tiny speed bump. New hulls change which pockets of ocean are realistic for your timer.
When the next capacity tick feels weak, Rebirth (desktop: T / Y depending on player) resets parts of progression in exchange for a lasting multiplier. Treat it as a scaling tool after you understand island routes, not as a panic button on the first slow afternoon.

SAILING TIPS
Bank early, then stretch the map
- Capacity before raw speed early — A slightly slower raft that carries more Brainrots often out-earns a zippy empty boat. Secure a few deposits, then buy speed for the longer island hops.
- Turn around with timer left — The clock is for the return trip, not for how late you can keep scooping. Leave margin—especially before you memorize island positions.
- Islands are checkpoints, not decoration — Plan deep runs as base → island → spawn pocket → island → base. Skipping a pad to grab “one more rare” is how sharks eat a full hold.
- Two-player needs a retreat call — In local co-op, agree who decides when to flee. One player pushing outward while the other is already heading home splits the timer and loses both loads.
FAQ
Do I need to download Float for Brainrots?+
No. It runs as an HTML5 / WebGL browser embed on this page—desktop and mobile hosts both work without an install.
What happens when the timer hits zero?+
Sharks attack and you lose the Brainrots still on your boat. Island landings refresh the safety window; only a successful base deposit permanently banks the haul for idle income.
Can two people play on one keyboard?+
Yes on desktop: local 2-player with separate layouts (WASD side vs arrow-key side). Mobile is primarily touch solo.
What is Rebirth for?+
When upgrades plateau, Rebirth resets parts of your setup in exchange for a stronger money multiplier so later boats and deep-map runs scale faster.
