ABOUT THE GAME
Crossover brawls after Flash died
Anime Battle 4 is a side-view HTML5 fighter rebuilt so the old Flash Anime Battle series still runs in a modern browser. The draw is the roster: roughly two dozen-plus fighters pulled from different anime and game worlds—Sword Art Online’s Kirito, Rurouni Kenshin vibes, BlazBlue: Alter Memory faces like Jin, Naoto, Ragna, and Azrael in later 4.x builds—each with their own normals and flashy specials.
It is not a deep competitive sim. Think arcade-simple inputs, big hit effects, and quick rounds you can replay while you figure out who actually clicks for you. Modes cover solo CPU fights, same-keyboard versus, a co-op path against AI, and a practice mirror so you can poke a moveset without a live opponent.
This page embeds the GamesLol HTML5 build. Load it, confirm with J on the menus, and give Practice five minutes before you jump into 1v3.
HOW IT PLAYS
Guard, dash, then spend meter on purpose
- 1
Basics first
Walk, jump, attack, hold defense, and dash. Specials sit on U / I / O (or the P2 number row). They are the difference between chip damage and closing a round—learn at least one safe confirm per character.
- 2
Specials charge as you play
Landing hits, blocking, and dashing feed the tools that make each fighter feel distinct. Spamming the same skill the second it lights up is how you get punished; save a big one for a knockdown or a crowded 1v3 screen.
- 3
Modes for different moods
Solo 1v1 or the meaner 1v3 against random CPU picks. Two players can share a keyboard for versus or co-op. Health often carries between rounds in a match, so a bad first round still matters.
WHAT YOU'RE UNLOCKING
Roster comfort, not a story campaign
There is no long plot to finish. Progress is learning who you can pilot: range characters versus rushdown, when to transform if your pick has a P / numpad-9 style shift, and which specials actually come out on time under pressure.
Later 4.3-style updates stacked more BlazBlue: Alter Memory fighters onto the cast. Exact count depends on the host build—expect a mid-20s roster with distinct skill sets, not twenty clones with different sprites.

FIGHT TIPS
Stop mashing after the first special
- Open Practice before ranked ego — Mirror yourself and learn one jump-in, one anti-air feel, and which special recovers slow. Five quiet minutes beats ten tilted losses.
- Guard exists for a reason — S (or Down for P2) shuts down a lot of greedy strings. Hold it when you do not have a punish ready instead of eating chip into a KO.
- 1v3 is spacing homework — Three CPU fighters will overlap attacks. Dash out, isolate one body, and do not blow every special on the first target.
- Two-player needs keyboard space — P1 lives on the left half of the board; P2 on arrows and numbers. Sit so elbows do not collide, or one of you will “accidentally” drop combos.
FAQ
Do I need Flash or a download?+
No. Anime Battle 4 is an HTML5 remake. It runs in the embed on this page through a normal browser.
Can two people play on one PC?+
Yes. Pick a 2P versus or co-op mode and share the keyboard—Player 1 on A/D/J/K/L/UIO, Player 2 on arrows and the number keys.
Why do some sites list different roster sizes?+
Hosts ship slightly different 4.x builds. Core loop and controls stay the same; character count and who got added in 4.3 can vary by a few fighters.
