ABOUT THE GAME

Lane defense with a roster mindset

Pokepath TD is a fan-made, browser-ready tower defense built around familiar creature typings and evolution curves—think lane pressure plus long-term squad growth rather than a single static tower list. Opponents follow fixed paths; you spend currency to recruit defenders, park them on valid tiles, and scale damage and utility as waves escalate.

Progression is deliberately grind-friendly: losses can still feed experience and knowledge of enemy cadence, so each return visit is a slightly smarter draft of placements and timings. Multiple routes and deep wave counts reward specialization—different lanes ask for different answers.

This title is not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company; it is an independent strategy game inspired by monster-battle fantasy.

HOW IT PLAYS

Economy, typings, and tempo

  1. 1

    Cover the bend

Corners and path merges multiply effective range—secure those tiles before you max out linear stretches.

  2. 2

    Spend on answers

Armor-heavy waves want sustained damage or appropriate typings; fast swarms want coverage and early tempo.

  3. 3

    Evolve with intent

Mid-run upgrades and evolutions are power spikes—time them for breakpoints, not vanity numbers.

CONTENT & SYSTEMS

Routes, waves, and persistence

Expect several distinct maps, each with long wave ladders and signature boss pressure at the top. Completing or grinding a route feeds broader account progress—currency, unlocks, and roster flexibility depending on the build.

Quality-of-life tools such as automated phases or save export appear in many versions; if you invest serious time, periodic backups are wise because browser storage can be fragile across updates.

CONTROLS

Mouse-first with shortcuts

Place & selectClick valid tiles and UI panels—number keys may map to quick slots on some builds
CameraDrag to pan and scroll to zoom where supported
Speed / autoLook for wave speed, simulation, or AFK-style toggles in the HUD—labels vary by version
Menus & dataSettings often host audio, export/import, and profile tools—open early once per session

STRATEGY TIPS

Win the economy, then the wave

  • Learn the first ten wavesEarly leaks tax your budget; stabilize income before dreaming about end-route tech.
  • Respect immunitiesSome bosses shrug off whole categories—pivot typings or status tools instead of brute force.
  • Rotate experimentsIf a route stalls, swap a core piece and replay earlier checkpoints rather than forcing the same six units.
  • Back up progressIf the frame offers export, use it after long sessions—browsers clear storage more often than people expect.

FAQ

Is this an official Pokémon game?+

No. Pokepath TD is an independent fan project and is not endorsed by or connected to Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company.

Why does my save feel unstable?+

Web builds rely on browser storage; updates or cache clears can disturb data. Export when available and keep a copy outside the browser.

Where do items or gear live?+

Most builds tuck equipment in unit detail screens—open a creature’s profile from the roster, not only the bag. Retired or benched units sometimes must be idle before gear changes apply.
